That's why the 5.7 and 6.1 have so many commonalities. You've only got a 27ci displacement increase from rods, but an increase of 80HP and 20ft/lbs. Almost all of that comes from the 6.1's better flowing cylinder heads. The 5.7 stock head flows 71/38cfm @ 0.100, the 6.1 flows 81/39cfm at the same lift.
2014 5.7 Hemi engine noise. I just noticed a tapping noise from the front of my GC engine that increses with RPM. It has about 70k miles. The noise is noticeable at idle anf my have been then for some time. You can barely hear it with the doors shot and not at all when driving. Any ideas, please let me know thanks. yJ1ojvz.
