Apart from the Zeiss 35mm the Canon is probably the smallest AF lens you can get for the Sony A7 and even with the adapter it's less than 1/3 of the cost of this Zeiss (which is the cheapest prime currently available for the Sony A7 - @ £700). The Sony to Canon AF Adapter was £67 and the Canon 40mm f/2.8 STM was £122.

I have been wanting a wider prime than my EF 35mm f/1.4L for a 7D2, and was contemplating someday the EF 24mm f/1.4L II -- but the EF-S 24mm f/2.8 STM is something like 11x less expensive. One thing I must say is that I very much do enjoy the EF-S lenses. They are very high in price/performance.
