The rock opera Jesus Christ Superstar is not biblical. There are some truths, but like all the movies made by Hollywood and private companies, they do not follow the Bible word by word. They change events and the characters of the Bible to be more intertaining to for the averagepersonthat does not know the contents of the Bible.

Both were just very interested in Jesus as a historical and biblical figure. The show isn't meant to be religious, and it isn't really written by a religious person, it's just written by two agnostic people fascinated by Jesus Christ. But the main reason I say it isn't a religious show is because of 'Superstar'.
