Tothe right is the Auxiliary battery. Remove the four hex nuts (13mm). Lift up the black bracket carefully because there is a module that is screwed on to it. Once you lift it up, you will see the AUX battery laying on its side. The two big red cables (one with a black strip) are leads to the AUX battery.

Shouldbe over 12.4v and a decent battery will be 12.7v. Measure the voltage across the battery terminals while someone else starts the car. It shouldn't do much below 11v, maybe 10.9.. if it does then the battery is dead. Thanks for the info, unfortunately I don’t have a way of testing the voltage.
C350eAuxiliary Battery location Hi I have 2016 c350e that has just shown the message auxiliary battery malfunction. It came on the following day but today it hasn't appeared? As this is the hybrid version does it have an actual battery or is it a voltage converter? Mercedes garage want to charge £140 to diagnosis. Any help
